Meet Sara

   

SARA YEHIA AIA, LEED GA, NCARB

Sara’s power as an architect comes for her exceptional ability to connect and engage with people, identifying their goals and bringing their vision to reality but with a creative twist. Whether it’s a client or a team member, Sara influences positivity along the path of a project to ensure not only a successful outcome but also a collaborative and creative process.

Sara founded Kenzy Architects in 2018 in Phoenix, AZ. Studied architecture at the school of Fine Arts in Cairo, Egypt where she is originally from and earned a Master of Architecture at Arizona State University. Sara is a registered architect in Egypt and Arizona and has practiced in both. She designed over a million square feet of buildings, from corporate office and higher education to retail, restaurants, residential and industrial. Sara was a Faculty Associate at the Arizona State University, Teaching Architectural Design Studio for several years. She is also active in several professional organizations AIA, ULI, NAIOP, AZCREW, NCARB and NOMA. Sara established and chaired of the DEI committee at ULI Arizona and served on the board of ULI Arizona 2022-23. Sara currently serves on the AIA Arizona state board as the AIA10 state director.

Kenzy Architect designs the first mobile build space for Girls Can Build, a community project to teach girls scouts to use construction tools and to introduce them to the all the professions related to the built environment. Read more about the project and our role here and here.
